GE researcher named to R&D post at nanotech company

Applied NanoWorks, a nano-materials company in Rensselaer , has named Kyle Litz its research and development manager.

Litz spent eight years at General Electric Co.'s Global Research Center in Niskayuna , managing a global team of chemists and engineers.

"Dr. Litz brings a level of expertise in materials chemistry that enables us to drive new application development with our technology platform," said Eric Burnett, Applied NanoWorks' president and CEO. "His leadership in overseeing technical marketing research projects will serve us well as we bring high-performance nano-materials to market."

Applied NanoWorks was founded in 2003.
