National Grid is providing $250,000 to the University
at Albany's College
of Nanoscale Science and Engineering to support the
college's expansion.
National
Grid is funding several projects at the nanocollege, including the
construction of the utility infrastructure that's necessary to accommodate
a 15,000-square-foot cleanroom facility. UAlbany's NanoCollege is located
on the $4.2 billion Albany NanoTech complex.
The
new cleanroom will be in one of the two new buildings being constructed on
the Albany NanoTech campus. When the $150 million expansion is finished,
Albany NanoTech will cover more than 800,000 square feet of space.
